When the pulp becomes irritated and infected, it can cause extreme amounts of pain and it can eventually lead to an abscess. Only a root canal can help in this situation.
-Tooth extraction: If the tooth decay is not treated and the dental crown and root canal will not help the situation, then a tooth extraction is needed. This is the worst case scenario and it’s best to avoid it as much as possible.
